Climate Rush

WHO ARE CLIMATE RUSH?

Climate Rush is inspired by the actions of the Suffragettes 100 years ago, who showed that peaceful civil disobedience could inspire positive change. We are a diverse group of women and men who are determined to raise awareness of the biggest threat facing humanity today - that of climate change.

Our government acknowledges the huge problems we face from climate change, but carries on with business as usual. We demand DEEDS NOT WORDS because individual choice alone cannot curb CO2 emissions if we are to stop runaway global warming.

WHY SHOULD WE TAKE ACTION ON CLIMATE CHANGE?

We are all daunted by the science of climate change. As each month passes the threats increase indefinitely. It is difficult to have a clear idea of how much must be done and how soon.

One thing, however, is clear. Our politicians and business leaders do not have our long-term interests at heart. They promise action yet continue with business as usual. For a clearer idea of just how grave this climate threat is please see the below website. The Public Interest Research Centre (PIRC) has published a Climate Safety report detailing the catastrophic feedback mechanisms which will escalate climate change out of human control
