A few tips on how to contribute effectively to EnviroWiki
In order to keep EnviroWiki as efficient and easy to use as possible, we have put together some guidelines to help you work out what to add, what to call it, and where to store it.
- First of all, for those of you who are interested in helping us with EnviroWiki, but are unsure what to add, you can find ideas here. Please note that this is just a guide to get you started and by no means an exhaustive list. If you have something else you would like to add, feel free!
To help explain what sort of stuff we'd like to see on EnviroWiki, we have put together a list of example entries.
- If you know what you want to add, please first check that the page does not already exist by searching for it in the search box (left). Once you have checked that it doesn't exist, you need to decide the exact name to give your entry. This is very important, both to allow other people to search more effectively for your work, as well as to help keep EnviroWiki neat and tidy. Please look at Indexing EnviroWiki entries for more details.
- Once you have finished your entry, you must work out which category to put it in. As is repeated all over the help section of EnviroWiki, adding your entry to the right category will be crucial to keep it from getting lost. See Help:EnviroWiki categories for more details.
