Register and Log in
You can view EnviroWiki without registering. However, you need to sign up to be able to edit and create entries.

How to register:
- Click on "Log in/create account" in the top right hand corner of the screen.
- Enter your personal details; a username and a password.
- Entering your real name and e-mail address is optional.

Logging in:
- You can log in as soon as you begin your session on EnviroWiki by clicking on "Log in/create account" in the top right hand corner.
- If you try to edit a page when you are not logged in, EnviroWiki will take you to a "Login required to edit" page. Click on "log in" and enter your username and password.
- Once you have logged in successfully, you will be offered to return to the page you were trying to edit. (If you do not do anything, it will return to the page automatically.)

Searching
- Enter the name of the page or category you are looking for into the Search box and press enter or click 'Go'. A list of articles and categories that match your search should appear. Click on the one that best matches what you are looking for.
- If the page you were looking for is not listed, try searching again, using wider, or different criteria.
- If the page you are after still does not appear, the chances are that it has not yet been written. If you wish, you can then create the page. To do this, click on the "Create this page" link. See EnviroWiki - getting started editing for help on how to create and edit a new page.
Searching is a good way to locate information if you know the name of the page you are searching for.

Browsing
- Click on 'Contents' on the Main page. This will take you to a list of categories.
- Click on the category that most suits the information that are looking for. Keep clicking on the subcategories, until you get to a list of articles.
- If you cannot find what you are looking for, and wish to create the page yourself, enter in the name of the page you wish to write into the Search box. You will then find out if it exists.
- If it doesn't, click on "create this page". See Help:Editing for more help on how to create a new page.
Browsing is a good way to locate information within a more general subject (particularly if you are unaware of its exact name), or to get a general view of what is on the EnviroWiki.
