About Us

EN4M is a membership organisation made up of groups and organisations which contribute to it's ongoing development. The work of the network is supported by a co-ordinator and a support group elected from network members. The objectives of the network are to:

All our members are actively committed to the principles of sustainable development, and are working for the benefit of Manchester.

The Bigger Picture

EN4M is hosted by MERCi, an independent charity established in 1996 to promote sustainable living. MERCi's vision is of a world where environmental, social and economic issues are balanced and people live according to a one-planet economy. EN4M is one of the constituent networks collectively known as the Community Network for Manchester (CN4M), the aim of which is to provide a voice for the community and voluntary sector in the Manchester Partnership, the decision making body for Manchester. EN4M hosts two projects; one focusing on Sustainable Neighbourhoods, which includes planning, housing and the environment in the city and the other on Transport. These projects aim to gather the views, issues and concerns of groups and individuals and feed them directly into the Manchester Partnership.
